Newfoundland International Student Education Program (NISEP) was founded in 2008 in Canada`s newest province Newfoundland and Labrador - the land of unique nature and friendly people. This is the place where North America begins. Many schools of the Program are located in the province`s capital city of St John`s. Apart from high-quality educational services, students who choose NISEP, get access to the beautiful environment, unspoiled nature, and exciting outdoor experiences. Icebergs, whales, and herds of caribou together with safe and healthy living conditions make Newfoundland and Labrador very popular among international students.

Newfoundland International Student Education Program is designed to provide smooth and comfortable immersion in Canadian life. Advanced English learning opportunities, traditional homestay benefits, and a wide range of extracurricular activities make NISEP a smart choice for those, who want to get the best of their educational stay in Canada.

Newfoundland and Labrador English School District consist of more than 250 schools, 80 of which accept international students, starting from Grade 7 and up to Grade 12. The total number of international students in Newfoundland and Labrador is close to 500.

NISEP teachers and administrators have been recognized in Canada for leadership, academic excellence and research through awards from the Conference Board of Canada, Network of Innovative Schools, School Leadership and Innovation Award and even the Prime Minister`s Award for Teaching Excellence. NISEP Specialized Programs include French Immersion, International Baccalaureate, and Advanced Placement.

English Immersion Program offers students an opportunity to improve their language and communication skills in a friendly English-speaking environment, both at home and at school. Through the immersion, they will learn to express their emotions and needs in English, and, most importantly, expand their ability and knowledge of linguistics. NISEP students have access to a highly interactive online course - Vital English. This universal online-learning tool models real-life situations and provides students with practice in reading, writing, speaking, including advanced vocabulary and grammar skills development.

Newfoundland International Student Education Summer Programs combine short-term educational experience with a great homestay and participation in various cultural events of the province. During a typical day, the study program lasts from 9 to 12 and in the afternoon students enjoy excursions, trips, and festivals.

NISEP provides high-quality educational services with affordable tuition. This is due to the decision of Newfoundland and Labrador political leaders. A decade ago, they decided to oppose the nationwide tide of educational funding cuts by reducing tuition fees and then freezing them. Today the Full-year Tuition Fee for international students at the secondary schools of the province is 9,500 CAD, the Application Fee is 275 CAD and the Orientation Fee is 150 CAD. The entrance dates are September and February.

Homestay Program offered by NISEP provides students with first-hand experience of Canadian culture and opportunities to communicate and develop in a friendly and supportive family atmosphere. Often the students are placed in host families with children. Close relationships with their homestay siblings help newcomers feel more confident at school and enhance their learning experience.

Homestay Coordinators match students to their host families based on shared interests and a mutual desire to know more about cultures: a student learns more about Canada and the homestay family learns more about the native culture of the student. A well-planned homestay is beneficial for everyone, and it is still closely monitored by the Program Coordinator. Homestay Monthly Fee is 800 CAD, it includes three daily meals, a comfortable room and full use of the household.
