Richmond School Board is located in the city of British Columbia, Richmond. The city itself is known for occupying a whole Lulu Island together with a number of other smaller islands. The fee of the summer camp is $2355 for a three weeks program in total together with the health insurance fee. The homestay program will cost an additional $1100.

Future prospects

After graduation from the high school of Richmond School District, an international student may decide to study in a college or university. If an international student successfully graduates from one of the full time programs of the higher education institutions, then they will have a chance to stay in Canada by obtaining a work-permit if they’ll be eligible for it.

Richmond School District collaborates with Kwantlen Polytechnic University. During studying in a high school a student has an opportunity to earn credits for the university. For example, in Kwantlen Polytechnic, a student may learn Advanced Game Development if they want to turn their hobby into a profession. The program’s main aim is to help students to create a portfolio full of work of games they managed to develop during their studies. After completion of the program, international students can work as designers, artists, programmers and project managers in Canada, by obtaining a post-graduation work permit. 

Another option for an international student after graduation from the high school of Richmond School Board is to apply for one of the programs of Trinity Western University in Richmond. International students are offered to take undergraduate and graduate studies. For example, the Faculty of Humanity offers to study Political Studies, Sociology, Philips, General Studies, Gender Studies, English and Creative Writing, Intercultural Studies, Geography and Environment.
