Saskatoon is the largest city in the province, with more than 266 citizens according to the 2021 census. The average rent price of a one-bedroom in this city is around $990 per month.

Another option is living in one of the University of Saskatchewan residences, which are located within walking distance of the classes. Some may find living in a university residence a much more convenient option compared to renting an apartment. They may as well come back to their home country and start a successful career path with all the knowledge and experience gained at the University of Saskatchewan. But many international students choose Canada as a place to obtain higher education because this country fosters the immigration of talented and educated foreign citizens. Here, international graduates of the University of Saskatchewan have a chance to get a post-graduation work permit, which, as is clear from its name, allows foreign graduates of Canadian educational establishments to work in Canada for up to three years.
