Tuition fees for international students in University of Victoria

Estimated tuition fee for undergraduate international students is around CAD 27000 for two terms. Additionally, the university charges a fee for certain of its services (they depend on the program of study you choose). All prices are subject to change, non-refundable, and non-transferable, so double-check before requesting a service or submitting an application. These services include areas such as student associations, sports and other paid facilities.

 

Moreover, all undergraduate students enrolled for the first time to study credit courses at the University of Victoria must pay a $200 CAD acceptance deposit to verify acceptance of an offer of admission. Also, undergraduate students are required to pay for the UVSS's extended health and dental plan, which was approved by a student referendum.  Enhanced Health Coverage costs around $180 CAD, Basic Health Coverage – $145 CAD, Enhanced Dental Coverage – $180 CAD, Basic Dental Coverage – $145  CAD for one year.  All new international students must pay for a necessary temporary medical insurance plan, which is $265 CAD.  This payment covers emergency hospitalization and medical services (including doctor's visits). All undergraduate and graduate students at UVSS are required to purchase a bus pass (the U-Pass). The cost of a U-Pass is $81.00 CAD per semester.

Employees who have the skills, education, and work experience and have a will to contribute to the economy of a province and wish to become permanent citizen of that Canadian province are eligible to apply for the Provincial Nominee Program.

Application process and deadlines in University of Victoria

 First of all, you need to choose a program and send your application by the deadline for your program through the EducationPlannerBC application tool ( fee for international students - CAD 142). You'll receive a confirmation email with your university student number after you complete your application in 3-5 working days. Then you should create a university NetLink ID using your student number to gain access to the application site. Your admissions assistant will send you an introductory email and will be able to answer your questions and guide you through the application process. In this email, you'll find the instructions for checking the status of your application as well as a checklist of things to complete. Through the application portal you need to submit your grades by submitting a copy of your current transcript, which includes your grades and/or anticipated grades.

After all this process is done, you will be sent an email with your admissions offer. To accept your admissions offer, you make a deposit on your acceptance.  The non-refundable acceptance deposit will be used to your tuition expenses.
