New Westminster School Board (NWSB) consistently ranks among the top public boards in British Columbia, Canada. It is located in one of the province`s oldest and most beautiful cities - New Westminster. Often called a small town within a big city, New Westminster is a safe and comfortable environment to live and study in. It takes 25 minutes from Vancouver Airport to get here. Since the 1920s, New Westminster Schools are known for their high-quality educational services. NWSB was one of the very first public school boards in Canada to run international programs. Today, the School Board offers a wide range of short-term and long-term programs to students from all over the world. The diverse, inclusive and multicultural educational environment is one of the peculiarities NWSB staff is proud of. The Board consists of eight elementary, three middle schools and one secondary school. It is worth mentioning, that in September 2020 New Westminster Secondary School will accommodate almost 2000 students in a state-of-the-art new school building. This learning environment meets all the standards for modern education, safety, and accessibility. It also incorporates the latest sustainable energy management system and is the largest capital project of its kind in British Columbia.

New Westminster School Board is an example of a student-oriented environment. Their project on Enhancing Learner Success shares a mix of research and real-life stories about students` achievements. The project provides tools to enhance learners` success and measure their progress. It focuses not only on academic achievements but also on the emotional and social well-being of studets. Current initiatives include engagement and personalized learning, professional collaboration, capacity building and support of healthy lifestyles. 

New Westminster School Board is a leader of international education. Almost thirty years of experience in the field provided NWSB with all the necessary knowledge for students` effective adaptation and integration. International Education Program demonstrates high standards of academic preparation and personal development. Special attention is given to the smooth and interesting process of student`s integration into the Canadian educational system, social and cultural life of British Columbia. Tailor-made English language courses are available for students with different levels of English language command. 

The International Program office is located in the above mentioned New Westminster Secondary School. Its modern facilities include five computer labs, four gymnasiums, and a full-service cafeteria. Students can also use a large sports field, a professional theatre, specialized classrooms for sciences, art, music, technology, and industrial arts. Hundreds of different courses in the areas of sports, natural sciences, social studies, technical education, visual and performing arts, marketing and business, literature, home economics, and modern languages are available.

New Westminster School Board has its own homestay program. Careful selection of host families guarantees the best quality of the homestay. The coordinator continuously tracks students` experience and help with all the necessary aspects. In order to find the best family for a student, NWSB asks both sides to complete the application documents. This helps to find a perfect match - family that corresponds all of the student`s expectations and can easily satisfy his homestay demands. The monthly homestay fee is 900 CAD, the Application Fee is 300 CAD for a semester or 500 CAD for a year. 

Full-year Tuition Fee is 15,000 CAD. Annual Health Insurance Fee is 1,000 CAD. All new international students are asked to come a week before the start of studies for the comfortable acquaintance with a chosen school and New Westminster.
