The Richmond School District focuses on the success and happiness of its students more than on their grades. The motto of the District states “Our focus is on the Learner” and it tells a lot about the teaching attitude. Academic staff together with students and the local community create a vibrant, inclusive and inspiring atmosphere for personal and professional development.

Parents are seen as important partners in the educational process. Engaging with families help build lasting and trustworthy relationships. The emotional well-being of the students is an important factor of the RSD teaching practices.

International education is mentioned among the top priorities of this school district. Short-term and long-term programs are available for all student ages. Short-term programs, such as summer camps or customized group courses are good for those who want to get acquainted with the Canadian system of education. They are perfect for a quick immersion in the culture and beautiful nature of British Columbia. Short-term courses in the English language are also available at the schools of Richmond. They are systematically mentioned among the best English Language Learner centers across Canada.
