Capilano University is the university committed to innovative educational methodologies and attentive community engagement. Capilano College was founded in 1968 and was renamed to Capilano University by the Province of British Columbia in 2008. The University is located on Vancouver's North Shore, near the Coastal Mountains and twenty minutes from downtown Vancouver. The university gives priority to providing students with a unique educational experience and promoting well-being of its campus community. The Government of British Columbia and the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities both fully accredit Capilano University as a public institution. They are also acknowledged by The Education Quality Assurance label - Canada's only provincial brand of quality for high education. UniRank places the university at #64 among Canada's top universities and #2385 in the globe.

 

Students benefit from small class numbers, with an average number of 25 students per class, allowing professors to get to know their students and help them reach their full potential. Students can participate in collaborations and study through academic mentoring and support as the University strives to cultivate new interdisciplinary academic research opportunities.

 

Students were first welcomed to the main campus in 1973. The University has four different campus locations. North Vancouver is the primary campus, with regional campuses in Sechelt, Lonsdale is on the North Shore, and the Tszil Learning Center at Llwat Nation in Mount Currie, British Columbia. Students can participate in six men's and women's sports teams at the University. The Centre for Sport and Wellness provides a variety of facilities and free services for students' recreational activities, including Lillooet Park, a gym, a soccer field, golf course, lockers. At Capilano University, students can join one of 36 student clubs.  Capilano University enrols 12,700 students annually, with up to 2,500 international students. Capilano University's 88 percent of library resources are digital.  This includes articles, ebooks, and other publications. Students have access to the CSU Maple Lounge and four libraries at the University. At Capilano University all students are welcomed to live in one of three residence halls:  Grouse Hall, Cypress Hall, and Seymour Hall. Two twin beds, dresser, two twin mattresses, two desks with built-in bookshelves, two desk chairs, two closets, and a lockable drawer are among the room's amenities.

Programs in Capilano University

Capilano University provides high-quality programs in five faculties, as well as full-term and short-term study abroad opportunities, work-integrated learning, and volunteer opportunities to help you succeed academically and professionally. In addition to 3D Animation for Film and Games, the school also teaches 2D Animation and Visual Development.

Tuition fees for international students in Capilano University

If you want to immigrate to Canada and become a permanent citizen, you can apply for the Canadian Experience Class or the Provincial Nominee Program. For the first program, it is necessary to satisfy to the following criteria:
