Columbia International College (CIC) is a private boarding school located in Ainslie, Ontario. The College began its history in 1979 as a university-preparatory school and soon grew into a big and respectful educational institution that works with students from 70 different countries. CIC is a member of the Independent School Associations of Ontario and is also registered with the Ministry of Education of Ontario.

Columbia International College offers year-round admission. Before entering the College, new students are required to take diagnostic tests and only then register for their courses. Students enrolled in the High School Program and University Preparatory Program have to pass Maths and English Diagnostics Tests. Students enrolled in English as a Second Language (ESL) Program before admission write their ESL English Diagnostic Test.

CIC High School Program offers a wide range of academic courses. Semester programming allows students to structure their course load depending on their abilities and interests. Students select subjects according to their individual needs. Testing and assessment are conducted throughout the semester and the Admission Placement Program guides students to study at levels that they are assured of success.

The University Placement Office that works at Columbia International College provides individual guidance for students. The services include assisting with program choices, admission requirements, and completing university applications. CIC graduates receive the Ontario Secondary School Diplomas that allows them to apply to many universities in the USA without the SAT, and to all universities in the UK without A-Levels. 

The College is proud of its partnership with many higher educational institutions in Canada and the world. Among them are the universities of Toronto, Waterloo, Western and McMaster. It is worth mentioning, that admission representatives from more than 35 universities from Canada, USA, and the UK visit CIC and hold information sessions for the graduating students regularly. The recent statistics demonstrate that the University of Toronto, the University of Waterloo and McMaster University accept more graduates from Columbia International College than from any other school worldwide.

Columbia International College is also known for its well-tailored English as a Second Language (ESL) Program for students with various ESL proficiency levels. The Program has 5 levels of instruction ranging from Beginners to Advanced. Small-size classes allow students to receive individual attention and assistance from teachers. Language and computer laboratories, print media, videos, seminars, and guest speakers provide students with various avenues to practice and improve their English skills. TOEFL Training Courses are also available.

Columbia International College is an authorized test-center for Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL), iBT TOEFL (Princeton University ETS authorized center), IELTS (International English Language Testing System), The Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB), and Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT).

The College also offers many Summer Camp Programs. They include accommodation, transportation, entrance fees, meals, ESL instruction. Leadership training takes place at Bark Lake in northern Ontario. 

Students who join the Columbia International College`s Residence Program are offered six single-gender residence buildings. The male residences are situated in Oak Hall, Pine Hall, Arkledun, and Northcliffe and the female residences are in Linden Hall and Pine Hall. The Residence Room is 8,000 CAD (August-May, 10 months) and 4,350 CAD (January-June, 6 months).

The Full-year Tuition Fee in Grades 9-12 is 21,600 CAD (August-May, 10 months) or 16,200 CAD (January-June, 6 months). The siblings of a student currently studying at Columbia International College receive a 25% discount.
