 Since its founding in 1921, Concordia University of Edmonton has played a significant part in Alberta's educational history, one of the provinces of Canada. Concordia University of Edmonton began offering undergraduate arts and sciences degrees in the end of 20th century. Now the university offers over 45 majors and minors in the arts, sciences, and management, as well as two post-graduate programs, three master's degrees, and a variety of graduate certificates and diplomas. Programs in Concordia University of Edmonton

Concordia University of Edmonton provides an excellent three-year Bachelor of Arts in History program. This program will show you how individuals and societies have interacted throughout history, revealing the depth of ancient civilizations. You'll finish the three-year general liberal arts degree to qualify for the job market or to continue your study in a relevant subject like business, education, government, media, or law.

 

Also, the university offers a fantastic English program leading to 3- and 4-year Bachelor of Arts degrees. BA in English combines a historical approach to literature with a focus on literary theory and contemporary ideas.The university  provides students with the option to work one-on-one with a faculty member of their choice. Tuition fees for international students in Concordia University of Edmonton

 

Undergraduate tuition fees for international students ranges from $13,000 to $14,000, while graduate tuition fees for international students ranges from $22,000 to $26,000. Tuition fees depend on the program. International fee for such programs, as Master of Information Systems Security Management, Master of Information Systems Assurance Management, Graduate Diploma in Information Security, Graduate Diploma in Information Assurance, and Doctor of Psychology, is $2225 -$6400 per term, while for other programs fee is $3,900 per term.

 

In addition to the tuition fee there are other expenditures that should be considered by each student, that want to study at Concordia University of Edmonton. Repatriation Fee is $50 per year, Concordia Students’ Association Benefit Plan costs $300 per year, fee for International Insurance is $250 per term.

 

You must have the necessary types of health insurance as an international student in Canada. One of the advantages of attending Concordia is that they have made arrangements to offer the necessary insurance. This includes the following:

  • While in Alberta, a student is covered with basic healthcare, which includes visits to a doctor and hospitalization.
  • Prescription medications, ambulance, health treatments, medical equipment & supplies, and dental care are all covered under Supplemental Health & Dental services.
  • Plus, supplementary insurance for emergencies when traveling and if needed, repatriation services.

 

Residence fees should also be taken into account. According to rates of 2021-2022 double occupancy with a necessary meal plan costs $3,880 per term, whereas single occupancy with a required meal plan costs $4,875 per term.

If you want to stay in Canada for work after graduation, within 180 days of getting a transcript or a degree/diploma, or an official letter from your university, you can apply for a post-graduation work permit.

 

After working for at least one year, you can become a permanent resident of Canada if you want to stay and live in Canada. Two programs are available now for such individuals: the Canadian Experience Class and the Provincial Nominee Program.

 

The requirements for the the Canadian Experience Class program:

  1. Adhere to your employer's linguistic requirements.
  2. You must have at least one year of relevant work experience in Canada within the last three years before applying.
  3. This work experience must be obtained while on a temporary residence status with work authorisation.

 

The Provincial Nominee Program, the second initiative, is a government-run program that accepts candidates from around the province. This program is for employees who have the following qualifications: skills, education, and work experience to improve a province's or territory's economy and have a will to become a permanent citizen of Canada in that province.

 

To apply for this program, you must first decide in which province of Canada do you want to live and then submit an application for nomination in that province. They'll consider your application regarding two aspects: their immigration demands and whether you genuinly want to immigrate in this province.
