McMaster University, which was founded in the end of 19th century, is one of four academic institutions of Canada ranked among the top of eighty in the globe according to the THE Rankings for 2022. Briefly describing, the history of the University starts from Senator William McMaster, a senator, and chairman of the Great Western Railway, which has left the institution as an inheritance. In the second half of 20th century the University started developing the issue-oriented, student-focused method of learning. Tuition fee for international students in McMaster University

Tuition is based on a board-approved per-unit base tariff that is unique to each faculty and amounts to 1100 - 1700 per unit depending on faculty. The cost of tuition is determined on the number of units taken. A standard course is equivalent to three units, but some faculties (e.g., Engineering, Nursing, and others) provide courses that are weighted higher and thus worth more than three units. In both the fall and winter semesters, a regular full course load is 5 courses, which equals 15 units per term or 30 units total. The supplementary fees are levy that is charged to ensure the success of the community of the University. These fees are paid to McMaster with other fees. Students approve them in a student vote. They enable part-time and full-time students' access to support programs and services. They are divided into two categories: flat rates and per-unit fees. The ancillary fees include Dental Insurance Plan, Health Insurance Plan, Bus Pass, Organizational fee, Athletics & Recreation Sports Complex Services, Career Services, Student Wellness Centre Services, transcripts, letters, tax forms, and certificates, University Athletics and Recreation Activity.
