Memorial University of Newfoundland was established to pay the tribute to the memory of the Newfoundland and Labrador citizens who was killed during the First World War. Accommodation

Memorial University provides students with a wonderful opportunity to live in a campus. In the carefully protected campus people qualified to administer first aid work day and night so as students always feel safe. Living in a hall of residence also means that you can actively participate in sports, clubs and volunteer.

One of the residence is Paton College which is made in a conventional style. Here a student may live in a shared room with another student or in a single room. There two shared lavatories on the floor and there’s also a so-called quiet floor for the ones who like being in silence and study. The hall of residence is equipped with laundry and study rooms, WiFi and a dining hall.

Near Burton’s Pond you may find another building designated for students residence if they study in Memorial University. It encompasses thirty two apartments where students can live either single or in pairs. Once the apartments are refurbished, there will be two personal bedrooms and two personal study rooms in each of the apartments. The kitchen, living room and toilets will be shared by habitats of one apartment.

Another place to live for students of Memorial University is Macpherson College. Here students live in suites and again they may choose either to live alone or with a neighbor. Whatever you choose, in the suite you will find a private lavatory, closet, fridge, TV and bed.

One of the options of accommodation in the campus in England is the Maltings. It’s literally the building of former malting refurbished to become a hall of residence for students of Memorial University.

One of the greatest advantages of living in a dormitory is meal plans. Basically, it means that you can have an access to food without the drudgery of cooking it yourself, buying groceries and washing the dishes afterwards. There are many options to choose when talking about meal plans. There is a special a weekly unlimited plan, buying which you can visit a dining hall whenever you feel hungry or want a cup of tea. Students who go back home for the weekends can choose a plan for having a meal at a dining hall any time but on the weekdays only. Both of them costs approximately $2800 and mandatory if you’re living in Macpherson College or in Paton College.
