Located amidst the awe-inspiring landscapes of northern Alberta, Northland School Division finds itself situated in some of the most captivating areas imaginable. Spanning a vast expanse of 288,347 square kilometers, the schools of Northland School Division are nestled in proximity to majestic mountains, serene lakes, meandering rivers, lush forests, and pristine wetlands, all within the territories of Treaty 6 and 8. Within the Northland School Division, a remarkable 95% of the student population is of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit descent, proudly embracing and celebrating their diverse heritage. Across our 19 schools, which are strategically located within municipalities, First Nation reserves, and Métis Settlements, we have the privilege of serving approximately 2000 students. The Human Resources Department plays a vital role in supporting all staff members within Northland School Division.
