UMC High School is a private high school located in North York, one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in East Toronto. The quiet and safe environment of the residential area helps students to concentrate on learning and self-development. The institution was established in 2008 and is governed by the Ontario Ministry of Education. The School boasts two modern campuses that are perfectly located - less than 5 minutes walk to the North York Central Library and quiet near other popular public facilities such as North York Civic Centre and Mel Lastman Square.

The school is popular among international students, more than 15 different nationalities make its community culturally diverse and inspiring. The total number of students exceeds 400. They are offered 42+ different, well-tailored courses. There is also an option of credits transfer for those students, who have already started their high school abroad. It helps them to complete the number of compulsory credits and graduate successfully with a Canadian diploma. 

UMC High School sees its students as future leaders of the globalized world who are able to complete and interrelate with international societies without prejudice. That`s why the focus is on the development of their academic skills and social abilities. Multi-language counselors surround international students with care and attention. They help newcomers to understand the peculiarities of the Ontario high school system. The counselors together with students develop their individual study plans and prepare post-secondary applications. 

High school students are offered a wide range of compulsory and elective courses: The Arts, English, ESL, French As Second Language, Business Studies, Canadian and World Studies, Social Science and Humanities, Guidance and Career Education, Mathematics, Science, and Computer Studies. 

UMC High School Arts Program gives students an opportunity to develop their creative portfolio in yearlong weekday and weekend classes. UMC Pathway Program held March-July, guarantees its graduates’ successful transfer to 25 partner colleges and universities without IELTS or TOFEL. The program includes free academic counseling services, university and college preparation courses, mock-college classrooms. It focuses on the development of the following skills: critical thinking, essay writing, presentation and discussion, academic research skills, academic vocabulary, and leadership.

UMC High School also offers its students online classes, that  are available 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. Summer Camp is an interesting option that offers its participants a myriad of activities, sports, sightseeing tours, and weekend trips! Summer camp students are guaranteed to have high-quality English classes, unforgettable experiences together with friends from all over the world and enough time in the evening to explore Toronto with their program-coordinators. UMC High School is proud of its high, 98% university acceptance rate. Many of its graduates continue their education in respectable universities and colleges in North America and Europe. 

In 2019 the School opened its new campus in an ideal and spacious two-story building. It has 20 bright classrooms, a library, and student study area, science and computer laboratory, gymnasium with a stage, cafeteria and student lounge, soccer and basketball fields, and many more. UMC High School supports its intensive academic schedule with an inspiring extracurricular program. Every week students are offered fun and interesting activities, as well as field trips that introduce them to real Canada.

The admission is flexible, students can start their studies at UMC High School all the year-round. The academic programs can be accelerated, giving students an opportunity to finish a 4-year high school program in 2,5 years. 

UMC High School students can choose between residence and homestay options. In a home-style residence, students are normally housed three to a room, but double, single or multiple shared room options are also available. A homestay is an alternative option for UMC High School students who want to find a home away from home and feel the support of the host family. 

The Application Fee is 200 CAD, Tuition is 1,950 – 2,050 CAD per course.
