With co-operative teaching as its foundation, the University of Waterloo, the public university in Waterloo, welcomed 74 engineering students in 1957 as a public university. Tuition fee for international students in University of Waterloo

University is, without a doubt, a significant financial expenditure. Your financial plan will be built on the money you – and potentially your family members – give, but you may need more to pay if you do not properly consider your educational expenses. Based on September 2021 and a full course load, fees are for two terms which last eight months of education (5 courses per term). Fees for Fall term 2022 will be released in August 2022, and they will almost certainly be higher. You pay fees for each school term separately (not for the whole year at once).

Tuition fee depends on the faculty you choose and the year of study. For instance, the first year in Accounting and Financial Management, Sustainability and Financial Management is cheaper than in other faculties (amounts to $43,000), however in the upper years of accounting and finance studies, tuition is much higher. The most expensive faculties are the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Computer Science and Business Administration (amounts to $63,000). Please note that there are also expenses for books and supplies. For all faculties expect of the Faculty of Architecture you should spend $2,100, while for the Faculty of Architecture the price is $4,100.

Students in the co-op program pay a fee of $739 per term to cover several program's expenditures. You do not pay tuition during your co-op work terms if you are enrolled in a co-op program. Professional flight training is expected to cost an extra $77,000 over three calendar years for the two aviation courses.
