York University is the second-largest public university in Ontario and the third-largest school in Canada. The institute is home to various cultures and ethnicities since it opens doors for around 10,000 international students from 172 countries.
York University has three campuses: Glendon, Keele, and Markham, which are spread across Ontario. Keele, the main campus, and Glendon campus are located in Toronto, known for its clubs and nightlife. Admission Requirements
To be admitted to York University, international students must meet minimum admission requirements. The students are required to have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 5.0 that is equivalent to 65% – 69%, meet specific requirements of the chosen program and pass the English Language Proficiency test.
To satisfy admission language requirements, you must demonstrate proficiency in your chosen medium of instruction. For most study programs in English, you need to get the score of 83 if you pass TOEFL iBT, the score of 6.5 if you pass IELTS Academic, the score of 60 if you pass PTE Academic, the score of 60 if you pass CAEL, the score of C1 Advanced if you pass CAE or CPE. To increase the chance of admission to York University, international students need to submit applications as early as possible. The application deadline for winter intake is November 1, for summer is February 15, and for fall intake is May 1.
The process of applying to York University includes four main steps.
